Terms of Use

The terms that apply when you use the Ceres mobile app: what the service is, your account, subscriptions and payment, and responsibilities.

  1. 01Parties and acceptance

    These terms are between Ceres Finansal Teknolojiler A.Ş. (“Ceres”, “we”) and the person using the Ceres mobile app (“you”). By creating an account or using the app, you accept these terms.

  2. 02The service

    • Ceres is a personal and family budgeting app that runs by pay period. Your records come from what you enter, the receipts you scan and the statements you import.
    • Ceres is not a bank, payment institution, investment firm or financial adviser. It doesn’t transfer money, make payments or trade investments, and it doesn’t connect to your bank.
    • Calculations, forecasts, offer matches and AI answers are for information only; they are not financial, tax, legal or investment advice. Your decisions are your own.
    • Offers are collected from banks’ and brands’ public pages; the issuer’s own announcement is what counts.
    • Currency, gold and market data come from third-party sources and may be delayed or wrong.

  3. 03Your account

    • You must be at least 18 to open an account.
    • You’re responsible for giving accurate information and keeping your password and device safe.
    • You can delete your account in the app at any time; deletion can be undone within 30 days (see the Privacy Policy).

  4. 04Plans, subscriptions and payment

    • Free costs nothing. Premium and Family Premium (up to 4 people) are paid subscriptions, monthly or yearly. The current price is shown in the app and the store before you buy; the store price is what applies.
    • Your first full pay period of Premium is free; no card is needed and nothing is charged automatically when it ends. The trial can be used once per person.
    • Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play and are subject to that store’s terms. A subscription renews automatically for the same length and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends; payment is charged to your store account.
    • You cancel and manage subscriptions in the store’s subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; refunds follow the store’s policy.
    • Family Premium is managed by the person who created the household; invited members don’t pay. When the subscription ends, family features are locked; members’ own records are not deleted.
    • You can restore purchases with “Restore purchases” on the same store account.

  5. 05Acceptable use

    You may not use Ceres for unlawful purposes, to access someone else’s data without permission, to get around its security, to reverse-engineer it, for automated bulk access or to disrupt the service. Only invite people you know who agree to join your household.

  6. 06Content and intellectual property

    • The records, receipt images and notes you add are yours; we process them only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
    • Ceres’s software, design, brand and content belong to us; you get a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app.

  7. 07AI features

    Ask Ceres, receipt scanning, statement import and Ceres notes run on a third-party AI service (Anthropic Claude). Results can be wrong or incomplete; check a scanned receipt and imported rows before saving them. Daily usage limits may apply.

  8. 08Availability

    We may change, add or remove features to improve the service. Maintenance, third-party outages or force majeure can interrupt it temporarily. Records entered offline sync when you’re back online; records that haven’t synced yet can be lost if the device is lost.

  9. 09Limitation of liability

    As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for decisions based on the calculations, forecasts, rates or offers shown in the app, for indirect losses, or for errors in the data you enter. Our total liability is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Your mandatory consumer rights are not affected.

  10. 10Termination

    If you seriously breach these terms we may suspend or close your account. You can delete your account at any time.

  11. 11Changes

    We may update these terms and will announce significant changes in the app or by e-mail before they take effect. Continuing to use Ceres after a change means you accept the updated terms.

  12. 12Governing law

    These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. For consumers, Consumer Arbitration Committees have jurisdiction within their monetary limits and Consumer Courts above them. [Jurisdiction for non-consumer users to be set after legal review.]
